Do you know that Arusha Tanzania’s Gem has much to offer that Safaris? Did you know its nicakname is “The Geneva of Africa”? For multiple reason, first ones would be climate and geography as it’s surrounded by Mount Meru and the weather is usual closer to European combination Spring and Winter. You will be surprised on your first visit to see locals with Timberland boots, puff jackets, winter hat on! Depending on which season you arrive on and where from you will have to cover up.

Our second time we visited from Zanzibar in early January and were happy to escape the 35 degrees Celcius to enjoy a milder 15 to 20 degrees Celcius. We came for a week long fuelled of adventure travel with plans for Safaris, trekkings and exploring the cultural aspect of the city and region of nearby Moshi. Our second time was in May, and we were happy to see Spring in motion, everywhere was blossoming but the temperature were very chilly.

Arusha, a vibrant gateway to the iconic safaris of Tanzania, such a Tarangire The home of elephants, and Ngorongoro Crater Area the unique safari inside a volcano arena! It is only a four-hour bus ride from Nairobi.  Whether you're flying in from Zanzibar or driving from Kilimanjaro Airport, this city offers an array of experiences that blend adventure, culture, and relaxation. Ready to explore? Here's your ultimate guide to the top things to do in Arusha.

Our Founder hiking around Lake Duluti , Tanzania

The mythical Lake Duluti, is mythical and magical.

You can actually stay in a few lodges surrounding it and take Alice in Wonderland like Picture for the Gram with Bali like swings and take some boat/ canoe cruise or paddle your own kayak/rowing boat.

Immerse yourself in the rich culture, vibrant colors, and ancient traditions of the Maasai people. Embark on a journey through history and witness firsthand how they find contentment in the most modest of lifestyles. Delve into their survival techniques and gain insight into the daily routines that define life in and around their village dwellings.

You can take a canoe out on the calm waters, keeping an eye out for the 130 species of birds that call this place home. It's like a real-life game of Angry Birds, except these ones are way prettier and less, well, angry.

If you're feeling a bit more active, there's a nature trail around the lake that's perfect for a leisurely stroll or a heart-pumping jog. Either way, you'll be treated to some seriously Instagram-worthy views [6].

Activities you can take:
